How to connect Groq as your AI Brain
Groq offers very fast inference for open-source models like Llama and Mixtral. It has a generous free tier, making it a good option for testing or low-volume use.
Step 1 — Create a Groq account
Go to console.groq.com and sign up or log in.
Step 2 — Get your API key
- In the Groq Console, click API Keys in the left menu.
- Click Create API Key.
- Give it a name and copy the key.
Step 3 — Enter the key in your dashboard
- Open your OpenClaw configuration dashboard.
- Click AI Brain to expand it.
- Click the Groq tile.
- Paste your API key into the field.
- Choose a model. Llama 3.3 70B is recommended.
- Click Save AI Brain.
